About a month ago, Brian was sent a mass email informing all the architecture students about a scholarship through Kennecott. He was unsure about applying for it because you had to write a 500 word essay and submit a resume, etc. He was busy at the time, but we decided it would be good to just try anyway. He wrote the essay all by himself and I just proofread it for him. We put together his resume and he submitted everything on the last day possible.
Well, we just found out yesterday that he got the scholarship for the Architecture College! (I guess they give out one per college, because my cousin's husband applied through the Engineering College & he got it as well.) The award is $6000, which will cover a full year tuition, and extra for supplies and books and things. Also, he has the chance to take a paid internship with them for the summer. We're not quite sure the details of all of that, but we'll let you know. We're so grateful and excited for this wonderful blessing. And I"m so proud of my wonderful husband. Love you babe!

that is so exciting that brian won the scholarship. it makes me laugh that both brian and ben won them. i guess it just goes to show that you should always at least try. then you at least give yourself a chance.

Hey guys that is just terrific! Rick says that Brian must be very good because Kennecott doesn't give them out lightly.
