Now every time I see it, it mocks me. "Christmas is closer than you realized and you're not even ready." I'm still excited, but I don't know where all the time went.
Since we have a bazillion parties this next week, I thought I should update about what else we've been doing.
First, we had our ward Christmas party on the 5th. It was best dress, and catered and everything was fabulous. We even had a special visitor for the kids.
A quick pic before we left for the party.
After the party we hung out with a bunch of friends from the ward at a neighbor's apartment. We had a lot of fun playing games and getting to know everyone a little better. On the 10th was the Relief Society Christmas Dinner. We had Italian Potluck and service projects. I really love our Relief Society and always have a good time at our activities.
Last week Brian had 3 presentations with the last big one on Friday. They did a redesign of the Kimball Arts Center up in Park City, so for the presentation they let them use the big art gallery up there. And for an extra bonus, they're keeping their designs up until the middle of January. So I'm very excited to go and see it after Christmas. Brian said he got a lot of good reviews and the Park City Planner even came up to him and told him that his design was the most "build-able." I think they should use Brian's design for real and build it. Then we'd be rich! :)
This week Brian's finishing up some little projects to turn in. He had one final yesterday but he thinks he did well. I'm so excited to have him around more. This semester wasn't as bad as past one's, but these past few weeks I've been pretty bored by myself.
Last night Brian and I went to our brother's Christmas Choir Concert. I think we've been going to this concert almost every year since we graduated. That's what happens when you're the oldest and all of your siblings are in choir.
This year it was both of our second-youngest brothers, Brad and Nathan. Brad's a Senior and Nathan's a Junior. They both did a really good job and it was fun to see them perform. Per tradition, for the last two songs the director invites all the choir alumni to come up and sing. So Brian and I, and our brother's Phil & Derek, all went up to join Brad & Nathan. Our director looked shocked to see all of us up there together. We were probably one of the biggest groups of siblings, just because Brian and I are married and so we combine the two families. It was awfully nice of Mr. Smith to put our brothers close together in the formation though so we didn't have to split up. :)
It was fun to go up and sing, but I have really forgotten so much of those songs. I was never one for memorizing anyway. But we had a good time and I even got to stand next to my best friend Val who was there with her sister.
A group shot of all the choir siblings.
It's fun to go back and have that experience with our siblings. I just can't even imagine what that group will be like when our youngest siblings are finally in choir. I might just be too old to go up there then. :)

The choir at my JR high does the same thing by letting the old students come up and sing, I was never in choir but i remember going to my sisters and seeing like really old people there i thought it was funny. a cool tradition but some people just went so they could go sing they didn't have any siblings or family members at all
That picture of you and Brian is so cute!
i love the picture of you and Brian. You are definitely one happy couple! i miss the days of being able to just go and hang out at a neighbor's apartment and play games till all hours of the night! it's just not quite the same with kids...now if we go and hang out...we have to be home by 8... lol
