'Tis the Season

No, not Christmas. Even though there is snow on the ground again. Yuck, by the way.

No, not birthdays. In our family, the birthday months are March (4 in one week) and May (4 spread out).

No, not babies (yet). Still working on that one.

It is the season of Finals!

For Brian, finals are a little different. He doesn't have tests (usually) or papers due. He has projects. Big projects. Ginormous projects. Projects that basically take all semester. But during the last month before the due date, it gets more intense.

Intense like he eats, sleeps, and breathes his project. He can think of nothing else.

He has this quirky trait of starting a sentence and then not finishing it. Not like he has to think about something and then finish his thought. He just doesn't finish it. He'll stop, wait a couple minutes, and then start a whole new sentence about a totally different subject. I've tried to cure him of this, but around this time, I just let it go. He's got enough to worry about without explaining everything in his head to me.

I figure if it's important he'll tell me eventually.

It's now gotten to the point where he only comes home for dinner and then he goes back to school. If I'm lucky, he comes home around 11. Usually, it's more like 12 or later. I'm thinking we're getting to the "or later" part.

I usually wait up, but I'm thinking I should stop doing that. I can only imagine how exhausted he must be all of the time.

His project is due April 28th. That's the day he's free. That's the day I get my husband back.

Let the countdown begin.

Okay...so you need to come hang out with me. Landon is home at night but he studies the whole time. And next week he starts up at the hospital meaning I won't see him even more.

So crafts? Movies? What should we do???

Hang in there love! I understand though, but mine will be gone for days at a time...traveling with the teams. Call if you need some company...via phone at least! I miss you!
