Naked, but It Could Be Worse

I forgot to put on my wedding ring this morning.

It was not because I stayed in bed reading this book because I was so close to finishing and then I was running way late.

Very good book by the way.

So I've been feeling naked all day.

But it could be worse, I really could be naked at work. *shudder*

The other day at work one of the agents asked how I was doing. I said fine, just my husband's always at school.

He said it could be worse, he could be one of those guys that sits around playing video games instead of doing something with his life.

So true. I need to appreciate that more.

I may have mentioned that I'm doing this.

It's kicking my butt but I'm doing it.

I did 21 push ups in a row the other night.

And Monday night I did 73 total for my whole work out.

It's not 100 but it could be worse. It could be 2 like when I started.

I know I need to update with pictures of all the fun things we did last week. And I will.

Eventually.

I could not post at all, that's worse.

Not Me Monday

Well, I haven't done one of these for a while, so we'll see how it goes:

I did not count the new "fancy" tires for Brian's car as his anniversary present. (He said it was OK.)

I also did not then hint that he could still get me something.

I did not lay in bed this morning seriously contemplating not going to work, when I only have to work 2 days this week.

I am not contemplating going down to St. George again for Conference weekend because my family will be there, even though we're already going this week.

I did not spend way too much money at "The Wood Connection" in a 2 day period. (I blame it on Marci who introduced me to this store.)

I did not tell Brian that our first child must be his child because it's coming "late" according to my schedule. My child would be on-time. :)

I am not still/already having discussions with Brian about how wonderful Disneyland is and how we have to take our kids their at least every 5 years so they learn to love Disney like their mother.

I have not already decided we're going to Disneyland with my family when my brother gets home from his mission. (He doesn't leave for another year.)

Not Me Tuesday

I did not start unpacking by first setting up my Internet so I could access blogs and Facebook. I am not that addicted to the web.

I did not make Brian put off writing his paper for "just a few minutes" so that he could help me put up some decorations.

I do not count myself as totally unpacked, even though we've thrown a lot of miscellaneous stuff into our second bedroom. That's Brian's "Spare Oom". Not my problem.

I do not consistently fall asleep while Brian's in the middle of talking to me. His voice does not calm me to the point that I zone out and fall asleep in seconds when I'm just the tiniest bit tired.

We did not go to the store the other night looking for drapes, only to walk out of the store with mascara, a frame, and a longer cable for the TV, but NO drapes.

We have not been living with no drapes in our front room and justifying it by saying that no one can see us because we're on the second floor.

I do not feel so overwhelmed this week simply because I actually have a social life and things to do almost every night. Seriously, who complains about having stuff to do? Not me. :)

Random Thoughts/Not Me/Confession Monday

We're moving tomorrow!
I did not make Brian start packing two weeks ago because I'm so excited to move.
I actually really like to pack stuff up because it forces me to clean out & de-junk-ify my stuff.
Everyone should pray that it doesn't snow tomorrow because I don't want to move all my stuff in the snow.
If anyone has any used (or new) carpet they want to give us, we'd love you forever!
I am not so excited to move that I almost skipped over today entirely and thought it was Tuesday when I woke up this morning.
I was not so sorely disappointed that it was still Monday that I snoozed my alarm a couple more times.
Sometimes I really wish we had more money just so I could buy fun stuff, like my aunt's watches, and not feel like we can't afford it.
We spent this last weekend at my parent's house watching my siblings while my parents were in St. George.
I was not really jealous that my parents got to go to St. George, even though we just went.
I did not want to bonk my little sister on the head for being 13 and a rude teenager.
I feel guilty that my sister frustrates me so much, even though my mom says I was a lot like her when I was that age.
I feel bad that when she was trying to confide in me about the guy she likes I was too busy trying to get ready to listen.
That makes me think I won't be a good mom.
I ordered a chicken artichoke salad one night for dinner this past weekend.
I never eat salad if I can help it.
Maybe I'm growing up. :)
I did not look up garage sales online this past weekend in hopes that I'll find more books.
I always have the worst buyer's remorse after I purchase something.
Even if we really need it.
But only if it's something I want.
If it's for Brian I have no problem buying it for him.
This makes me wonder how stressed I'm going to be when we buy a house or a car.
I'm so sick of all my recipes.
I need to be less picky about food.
I do not eat the same things over and over, because I like them, instead of trying new things.
I go in on Thursday to have a few other moles looked and maybe removed.
I know it's vain to be worried about the scars it'll leave instead of the cancer it might contain.
I am really worried I might have cancer.
I cannot wait to quit my job.
Even thought it's a really good job and I have a good boss.
I'm just really tired of working here.
I'd rather be doing something else.
I'm so excited for Christmas!
But not the snow.
I still don't know what to get some of the people in my family.
Mostly the boys.
I hate shopping for boys.

Not Me Tuesday

We have not eaten out almost every night for the past couple weeks, simply because I don't like to cook and felt like I had a good excuse not to.

We did not go to the store to buy condoms, and I did not make Brian carry them because that's too awkward for me, and I did not make us find a few other items to buy along with the condoms so that I wouldn't feel like some young teenagers just going to buy condoms and everyone knows why. I also did not make us use the self-checkout so I wouldn't have to look at the cashier's face. I am so much more mature than that.

I did not make Brian run home from school in the rain yesterday because I left my phone on silent and didn't hear him calling to ask me to come pick him up. (But also, he did not want to get a ride simply because he washed his bike on Friday and didn't want to get it dirty riding home in the rain.) We each have our own faults.

I did not eat almost two entire sleeves of double stuff oreo's all by myself. (Not in one sitting at least.)

You'd think I'd have more of these since it's been so long since I've done them. Owell.

Not Me Monday

I have not waited a month to update my blog even though I give my friends grief when they wait more than 2 weeks. I am not a hypocrite like that.

I did not go to Bear Lake for almost a week but only go on the boat once.

I did not eat almost a whole can of olive by myself for lunch the other day because I was too lazy to make anything. I always eat healthier than that.

I did not walk up to a grey Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot and stand there for a few second wondering why it wasn't right. (It had 4 doors, mine has 2.) I also then did not turn around and take another few seconds before I could remember where I had parked.

I was not "accidentally" late for work every day last week because I knew my boss would be late anyway.

I did not get so upset this morning that I started to cry and then freaked out when I looked in the mirror and realized I look like my baby sister when I cry. Weird.

I did not take a shower on Saturday and then fall back asleep in my towel because I was still so exhausted from staying up late the 2 nights before.

I did not jump in Harry Potter even when I knew what was coming.

Not Me Monday

Here we go again:

I did not work out Monday & Wednesday morning and then skip Friday because I was so sore from the two days before that I just couldn't do it again.

I did not get teary sorting through my mom's pictures because my siblings were all so cute when they were little and it makes me sad that they're big now.

I did not wake up at 3 AM on Saturday morning and then was unable to go to sleep because a story popped into my head and I didn't want to lose it.

I also then did not get up and write for 2 hours straight, 8 pages, single spaced, just to get the story out. That would indicate that maybe I'm actually becoming a writer.

Sorry, not so much again this week, but enjoy!

Not Me Monday

Here we go again. All the things I would never do, or that would never happen to me, because I have no flaws. Enjoy!

I did not skip work on Tuesday and rationalize it by going to the temple for 4 hours.

I also did not get sun burnt while taking picture outside the temple for an hour, just because my skin never sees the sun because I work inside all day.

Brian and I went out with his cousin & his wife on Friday. We went to Jason's Deli for dinner. For those of you who don't know, they give you free soft serve ice cream when you eat there. That's just one of the many reasons to go eat there. Well, while serving myself to this treat, I did not squeal, at least twice, when the machine got away from me. Good thing it was almost closing and there weren't that many people there, or that would've been really embarrassing .... if I'd actually done that.

Not much this week, sorry. I'll see what I can do to rummage up some better stuff for next week.

Not Me Monday

I did not go out to dinner with a friend and have a root beer float, with lots of ice cream, with my dinner, and then split a banana split, and then go home and think about having another bowl of ice cream before bed. That's just crazy!

I did not spend almost my entire workday on Friday splitting my time between reading my scriptures, Little Women and the Ensign. I'm a much better worker than that.

I did not contemplate quitting my job simply because I'm bored of it and so worn out from trying to pretend I'm busy all the time when there's nothing to do. And I'd much rather be at home writing or spending time with Brian.

I have not been thinking of ways to leave early already and it's only 11:00AM.

Not Me Monday

I stumbled across another blog a while back and she started something called Not Me Mondays, where you confess to all the things you would NEVER do. I thought it looked pretty fun so here it goes:

I did not buy my husband a brand new spiffy camera just because I want him to take cute pictures of our future kids.

I did not then make him have leftover pizza for dinner while I had leftover steak and potatoes.

I have not taken over a week to post about our Memorial Day weekend just because I was too tired on Saturday. I'm way more on top of things to do that.

I did not suggest that we send my little sister to boot camp because she's being a dumb teenager. I love her way too much to do that! (I really do though!)

I did not cry through church last week when I got a new calling (Ward Missionary) because I finally got the hang of my old one and have no idea how to do this new one. I am way more confident than that.

Brian and I did not stay up late the other night just so I could make chocolate shakes that I, uh we, were craving.

I did not contemplate calling in sick this morning just because I didn't sleep well.

I am not already looking forward to the weekend and it's only Monday.
