Valentine's Day

Friday night before Valentine's Day our stake had a Valentine's Dinner for everyone in the courts, members & non-members. It was catered by Cafe Rio. Brian & I went to this dinner last year, but only ended up staying for the dinner & then left. This year we did a little better. We stayed for dinner, then they had a little carnival area for the little kids, with popcorn, cotton candy, and nachos. I had to eat some nachos with lots of cheese. :) It was more fun this year because we know more people and have some really good friends in our ward.

Then the Karaoke started. A group of us left soon after. :) We headed over to our friends house where we were going to play games, but ended up talking for a couple hours. And watching two of the little kids just play together. It was really fun to just be out of our house and with other people.

On Valentine's we got to sleep in, which was a really great way to start the day. :)

Sadly, we had to go pick up our broken/now fixed car and pay a lot of money for it. And again, sadly, Brian had to go into school for a little while. I did laundry while he was gone. Exciting I know.

When he got back from school, he brought me a dozen roses, and Ben & Jerry's Half Baked Ice Cream. He really does know me. :)

I needed to change the laundry to the dryer so Brian came to help me. I usually just leave our door cracked so I don't have to bring keys with me since the laundry room is right next door. Well, Brian wasn't thinking, and when we came back after switching the clothes, he realized that he had shut the door. And because it was a weekend, we had to call the police to come open it up. But we had no cell phones on us. So after trying a couple friends apartments, we finally found a phone to use. Luckily, the laundry room is warm, and we had a key to that room, so we stayed in there until the campus police came to let us in. Quite the adventure.

After we got back in we quickly went grocery shopping and then off to dinner. Brian took me to Chili's and it was only about a 15 minute wait, which was great. And he even let me order the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake, even though I had ice cream at home waiting for me. It's my favorite ever.

After we were stuffed, we headed home and watched Eagle Eye. Pretty intense, and an OK movie. I was a little let down because it reminded me of I, Robot, which Shia is also in, but I still liked it.

Overall, it was a great Valentine's Day. Love you Brian!
