So because my sister and her husband were up this weekend we did lots of family stuff. Saturday morning we woke up early (8:00, I know I know, not really early, but early for a Saturday) and went to have breakfast with the family. My dad made his Swedish pancakes, which are a favorite of everyone's, for my brother's birthday which was actually on Friday. (The funny thing is, my dad's not Swedish. My mom is. Well my great-grandma was and she taught it to my grandma who then had to teach it to my dad because my mom didn't know how to make them. Don't worry, I've learned so I can continue the pancake-making.)
After breakfast we had to go home because Brian had a paper to work on. I did laundry and other household things. Then at 6 we headed back to have dinner with everyone. We got some Papa Murphy's pizzas and watched the Jazz game. Go Jazz! Watching Jazz games has always been a huge thing in my parent's house. My mom is in love with John Stockton. I remember how loud our house got when the Jazz went to the playoffs a few years back. (K, when I was 12 or 13, so more than a few years back.) We always have a good time, especially if they're winning. We also got a dessert pizza which was so yummy and we had to serve with vanilla ice cream of course. (Another reason I like having my sister in town is because she loves ice cream as much as I do. So does our little brother, but he was at a dance that night.)
On Sunday we performed in the choir in church and I think we did really well. It was a great song (My Kindness Shall Not Depart From Thee) and I really liked it. Brian and I were singing it the rest of the day in little snippets. After church we had dinner with the family before Nat & Adam headed home. We also had cake and ice cream for the birthday boys (Brad & Adam).
After they headed back to St. George I decided to try and give Brian a haircut. I've never done it before, and I should've waited until my dad got home from his meetings. I totally botched it. So we ended up just buzzing it. Brian says he doesn't mind, but I think he'll think twice before letting me try next time without supervision. I actually think I can do better next time, I just really had no idea what I was doing this first time. Because of this, there is no picture. Maybe next time. :)
On a finishing note, I hate Mondays. And weird dreams that wake you up all night long and give you so much stress that you can't move your arms because your shoulders are so tight. Because of this, I did not go to work today. I couldn't handle it. But I'm feeling a little better so I'll be back at work tomorrow.

Don't give up on cutting Brian's hair. You'll get better. You should see some of the haircuts I've given Corey. That's so funny you saw Brian's old girlfriend. Talk about awkward. I hate when I see Corey's old girlfriend too!
Good for you for taking the day off. Sometimes we all need days like that. I hope tha tyou are doing better...
Just hang in there with his hair cuts... it took almost a year (of weekly hair cuts) for me to get Greg's "just right". I've been doing his ever since for the past 8 years (minus deployments of course!). And yes - talk about awkward with the ex - in a sealing room of all places! LOL! Summer of '07 our kids ended up in the same preschool class with a child of one of Greg's ex-girlfriends... it was interesting bumping into her quite regularly at pick-up and drop-off (she was a serious girlfriend too - he was going to propose to her at one point!). Anyway, it's all "little stuff" in the long run :)
Ok, just a minute, I DO know how to make the Swedish pancakes - I'm just spastic enough that I don't have the patience to keep trying to make them look good! I'm so insulted! Mom~
