On Saturday we went to a birthday party for Brian's dad. He turned 50 the week before and Brian's mom had kind of an open house party for him. There was cake and ice cream and lots of yummy things to snack on. It's always great to see family though and just catch up. She also had pictures of him everywhere. From a cute little baby picture to one taken not to long ago of him on the top of a mountain he hiked.
While we were there the subject came up that he was 25 when Brian was born, and Brian's turning 25 this year so..... I'm not even going to go there.
After the party we decided to run to WalMart and just browse around for a few things since it was on our way home. We picked up some clippers for me to get better at cutting Brian's hair, and then we just wandered. I never thought I'd enjoy just wandering around and window-shopping basically, just to have time with my husband, but it was great. :) We picked up a couple other small items, (nothing too expensive since we'd spent all our money at Rodizio's j/k) and then headed over to Deseret Book. That is one store I could just browse for hours. That and Barnes & Noble. I need to remember to bring a pen and paper though to write down the names of books that look interesting and then I can go get them from the library.
I restrained myself this time though because I have a whole stack of books I'm currently reading/still need to read. Maybe next time. :)
After browsing we headed home and did some grocery shopping. Because we snacked so much at the party and weren't really hungry we decided to do something different for dinner. We splurged on some frozen pizza bagel bites and crinkle fries and just had snacks for dinner. I loved it. So easy and yummy.
Don't worry, I still planned a menu and have meals set for the other nights.
As good as Rodizio's was, I almost had more fun on our second date night this weekend just browsing and eating snacks for dinner. See? Having fun doesn't mean spending money.
To finish off the weekend we had dinner with my family last night. It was fabulous as usual and I even brought brownies to share. And what would fudge brownies be without ice cream? :) After dinner we watched a new Brian Reagan DVD my mom got for my dad. That guy cracks me up.
At dinner my 17 yr old brother asked how old I was. I told him I'll be 25 this year. He said, "So are you gonna have a baby any time soon?"
Like I said, I'm not even going to go there.

Like I said, "I can't be your age or else I'll have to start having babies." haha great minds think alike!
LOL! Sorry for the "bad timing" on facebook - after seeing the statements about babies from your relatives.... I agree - I could spend hours in Deseret Book & Barnes and Noble....
