Date Nights

Lately, Brian and I have been doing really well at Date Nights, which I love! It's been nice so far this semester because he's been around more, even if he is just reading for homework in the same room as me. At least he's home right?

Recently though, our date nights have tended to be a little expensive. He's taken me to dinner and then we'll go shopping. I got a couple new sweaters, which is great, but I've decided that I spoil Brian. We gave in and bought him a laptop so he can do more work at home and because it has better stuff (processors, video card, etc) than his desktop. So yay! It's pretty big and fancy and he loves it. We also got him blue tooth headphones so he doesn't have to worry about cutting the cord while building models.

And finally, a purchase for both of us, we got a wireless router. With two laptops in the house and only one hook-up to the modem, we needed something to eliminate the competing for Internet and all the cord around the house. So we like it. :)

I'm hopeful that in the future our date nights will be less expensive, but still be happening. :) I highly recommend it because it's a great way to become closer and just enjoy one another.

We are huge fans of weekly date nights :)) Of course, some weeks like this one require us to change up the day & time (we had our date "night" on Monday afternoon - the kids had school but Greg had the day off).... definitely a tradition we encourage you to keep :) It's one of those habits that is much easier if you develop it BEFORE you have kids :))
