Tonight the Architecture College hosted a reception for the Masters students to show off their Thesis projects down at Trolley Square. They had fancy appetizers and drinks, and it was just a fun time for friends and family to come see what these students have been working on all semester.

I know I'm biased, but I thought Brian did a great job. He had multiple people, including other students, come up and compliment him on his project and his awesome renderings and models. His great-uncle, Frank, came and he said he really liked Brian's project. That was high praise because he's a pretty well-known architect himself.

A couple days later, we heard a few more compliments from Frank. He told Brian's grandma that he was really impressed by Brian's project and couldn't stop thinking about it. He said that he wanted to take us out to dinner to discuss Brian's options. (!) He also said that Brian should "cast his net far."
We had originally thought we would only apply in Utah because both of our families are here. But after hearing his uncle say he thinks Brian would do better to work in a bigger city, we are now seriously considering moving out of state. It's a little scary, but also very exciting.
