Pine-nut Derby

Tonight our Elders Quorum had their first "Man-richment." They were feeling left out that us women always have activities and they don't get to do anything. So they did a Pine-nut Derby. Instead of making cars out of pinewood, they used veggies. Mostly potatoes, but there was a celery with a model rocket engine on it (that they set off later. Not recommended, very dangerous!), there was a ginger root, and a zucchini, and a cucumber. It was very interesting and very fun.

The main difference between their activity and ours was that for ours they encourage the husbands to babysit so the girls can have girl-time, but theirs turned into a ward activity with families being invited. There was a great turn-out and I think everyone had a good time.

Brian provided the track that his dad owns, but it was still only coincidence that Brian WON! I cheered really loud, like always, but it made it even more fun.

Here is Brian's "car", he named it "Stack of Idaho".
